Maciej Świerblewski MD, PhD
Graduate of the Medical University of Gdańsk (formerly the Medical Academy in Gdańsk). He holds a PhD in medical sciences and is a specialist in general and oncological surgery.
He has honed his skills in numerous Polish and international medical centers. He completed many internships and courses, the most significant of which were at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and the Netherlands Cancer Institute Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital in Amsterdam.
Until 2022, he worked at the former Department of Oncological Surgery of the Medical University of Gdańsk (GUMed), where he was involved in research and student training. He is the co-author of numerous scientific papers on cancer treatment and other areas of general surgery.
From 2015 to 2022, he served as Head of the Department of Oncological Surgery at the University Clinical Center (UCK) in Gdańsk.
Since 2023, he has been leading the Clinical Department of General and Oncological Surgery at the Academy of Medical and Social Applied Sciences in Elbląg, based in St. Adalbert's Hospital in Gdańsk-Zaspa.
Since 1990/1991, he has been a continuous member of the Polish Society of Surgical Oncology and the Polish Oncological Society.
